Welcome to Brickkiln

The site contains information on proposals for ‘Brickkiln’ - a sustainable community of up to 1,000 high quality homes near Brickkiln Wood, in Offley Parish between Tea Green and Cockernhoe, Hertfordshire.

In Spring 2008, Bloor Homes were promoting a much larger 3,000 house scheme in the area. Following Public Consultation Bloor Homes have now revised their proposals.

The new plans have significantly reduced the scale of development, and incorporate key features including a mix of housing types, large areas of public green open space, new public transport links, a new local centre and primary school, and up to 40% affordable housing.

Growth projections and proven housing need in the area mean that new housing is required outside of the boundaries of the town.
